For whatever reason I have been against the 'Cupcake Pop' fad...until I saw this cute idea on www.bakerella.com. My husband and I were having a BBQ and I took it upon myself to make it a summery-themed BBQ (despite the cold weather in southern California!). After making the pops I stuck them in a pink sand toy filled with sand and stuck it in the middle of the table to use as a centerpiece.
The cupcake filling was a lemon cake with strawberry cream cheese.

Similar to my previous post about the cards, I am doing the same with some good food I've been eating- either homemade or eating at unique places
Taylor and I went to the Food Truck Festival in LA County... we tried many trucks but the Grilled Cheese Truck is what I was most looking forward to! I got the stacked- Pulled Pork, Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese...yup you heard me!
Moving to California has made me aware of many new twists on food..like this one- Shaved Ice with Condensed Milk, I was scared to try it, but it wasn't too bad. Bubble gum, peach, and strawberry shaved ice...they also had a bunch of toppings you could put on there, including mochi balls
Flight of Beers at Side Door Pub
Brewery Tour at Stone Brewery
Serendipity in Las Vegas has unique food and gives free Chocolate Sundaes!
Eating a scone while doing school work at the Tranquil Tea Lounge in Fullerton. A vast variety of teas, great sandwhiches, and even greater scones! This was a passion fruit scone, but I've also had the white chocolate lavendar scone which I highly recommend!
Awhile back I made these cool rainbow layered cupcakes for my little brother and sister. The flavors aren't unique but the colors are!
Then decided to re-create this favorite for a class project, add polka-dot cupcake lines, purple frosting and some pearl accents

Marble cupcakes with marble cream cheese frosting
Chocolate-chip cookies with brownies in the middle
These are my husband's favorite- chocolate cookie with a marshmallow and covered with chocolate ganache.

Chocolate Stout cupcake filled with chocolate stout ganache and topped with Bailey's Irish Creme Frosting...just call it a car bomb cupcake!
Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcake with Lemon Frosting, Red Sanding Sugar and accented with a Strawberry Heart Marshmallow!
Packed-up and ready to bring to class!

Oreo truffles coated in white chocolate; Italian Cookies; Chocolate Espresso Snocaps; Almond Crescents; Banana Bread with Maple Brown Butter Frosting; and Chocolate Rice Krispies with Nutella Frosting
A favorite time of day for my husband and I-- cooking dinner together! Greek pork ontop of a bed of Greek Quinoa

Another Greek Dinner...Greek Marinated Pork, Greek Quinoa (Quinoa with Avocado, Tomato and Feta) prepared to stuff pita with tzatiki sauce and feta
I've wanted to create a blog publishing the cards I've made for at least a year now. Unfortunately grad school...a.k.a. my life, seems to take priority above just about everything. Making cards and baking are two of my hobbies I use as an escape and stress reliever. My pile of cards has grown and my recipe box has expanded, but nothing was published to a blog..until now. Below are some of my favorite cards I have made in the past year or two that I would like to share. Some I made at StampinUp classes, others I have created on my own, adapted from many different stampin blogs I've visited. I do believe it is important to leave credit when it is due, but unfortunately I can't remember where I got ideas for everything. And, like I said, all my ideas-- be it crafts or food, are usually a compilation of a number of other people's creations. Again, I will not post extensive details about the cards but if you have a question just ask!
